Prince of Poets :)

I have a serious crush on this guy! tamiiiim...I like the sound of it when I say it :) I know it's a bit childish but I can't help smiling!!
He's a writer, he's a poet, he's a university professor and - the most interesting part- he's a Palestinian!!The way he delivers his speeches and poems, his gestures, his unique voice and this great conviction and amazing strength you feel when his talking on stage are just...awesome!!
Last year he has been invited to a university in Rabat but I was caught in a training in casablanca and I couldn't make it; I was frustrated...but thank God we have youtube!!!

Ps: I don't love tamim, I'm in love with his poems. I love the idea of him not Him (i'm no longer 15, so I don't have this stupid crush on the backstreet boys anymore ;))

graduation, friends and real life...

I've just read J.K. Rowling speech“The Fringe Benefits of Failure, and the Importance of Imagination,” that she delivered at the Annual Meeting of the Harvard Alumni Association, and I simply loooved the speech. I found it very similar to what I experienced after my graduation. When hopes, ambition and fears are all mixed up an you wish that you will keep in touch with your friends and that this friendship will last forever...
In the end of the speech J.K. Rowling said:"[...] I have one last hope for you, which is something that I already had at 21. The friends with whom I sat on graduation day have been my friends for life. They are my children’s godparents, the people to whom I’ve been able to turn in times of trouble, people who have been kind enough not to sue me when I took their names for Death Eaters. At our graduation we were bound by enormous affection, by our shared experience of a time that could never come again, and, of course, by the knowledge that we held certain photographic evidence that would be exceptionally valuable if any of us ran for Prime Minister.

So today, I wish you nothing better than similar friendships. And tomorrow, I hope that even if you remember not a single word of mine, you remember those of Seneca, another of those old Romans I met when I fled down the Classics corridor, in retreat from career ladders, in search of ancient wisdom:
As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.
I wish you all very good lives."

Well said J.K. Rowling, very well said!!

A quote...

You know what your problem is :
you're too concerned about where you're going instead of how you gonna get there. and most of the time you're never sure if things gonna work out your way...

Some things don't have to be rushed they just need time!!

funny and sweet :)

Hi, I'm new here!!

I like my new job...actually, not the job itself but the whole atmosphere. the place is cool, the architecture is great, the decoration fenomenal, the people seem to be nice and cool too...
When I got in, everyone was looking towards me to me like I was their new babyborn or something :) At first I felt weird but then I was getting used to it. After all, it's normal to be curious about a new employee, specially if he's the youngest around ;)
So, I think it's good start and I'm hoping for the best as usual :)

one year!!

it's been a year, a whole long year since the Gaza massacre, and still we didn't forget, and we won't!
Today marks the memory of the massacre of around 1400 old men, women and children at Gaza one year ago. Just like the world insists on remembering 9/11, it must never forget what happened to Gaza last year.

I still dream of a free Palestine, and I know for sure that this holly land will be restored to its rightful owners, but I'm afraid to not witness that day...I wish I'll live to see my dream coming true...I wish...

C U another day...all free I hope :)

another variable...

It's been a while since I didn't post on this blog. I was kinda busy ;)
And I guess, the next days will be more and more charged because I'm starting my first full time job. So, this will add a new variable to my life equation and I hope I'll manage to handle it.
Right now I don't really know what to expect, I'm somehow afraid of expecting too much and get...nothing ;( I'm afraid to be traped in that vicious cycle of waking up, going to work, work, work, work, getting home, eat and sleep...that lifestyle freaks me out, but i hope for the best as usual.
Someone once told me that I can't build my life plan without considering the job criteria, "it'll be so ideal and it can lead you to frustration". I think that person was soooo pessimistic, but though, I hope I'm not being soooo optimistic and I think I am. I'm a realistic person and I'm looking to the best thing to do with all the things I got. So let's see what tomorrow will bring for us. I hope for the best :)
